Valleywag’s non-readers have grumbled lately that the site is shallow, flighty, and obsessed with “pretty people.” Damn right.
That’s why next week, we’re holding the Will Pate Memorial Web 2.0 Hotties Showdown, a single-elimination tournament of the cutest guys and girls running the New Shiny Internet. Send your nominations to tips@valleywag.com with the subject “Web 2.0 Hottie” — and include a photo that you own the rights to (or a Creative-Commons-licensed photo). All nominees must be core team members of a Web 2.0 startup.

I’m assuming the reason they called it the ‘Will Pate’ contest was to remove you from the competition? I mean, obviously the patester would snap up every category so they had to make you judge!
I’d say I like the new site but it looks exactly like the old one! Freshen it up willers!

i JUST made the connection. I’m “Valleywag’s non-readers have grumbled lately” – that’s me. I feel famous repeatedly, over and over. You shoudl wear a sash or something saying Mr. Valleywag Hottie. Not that you need a sign!
